Chapter 1 - I live in Spain.

It took some courage to start blogging and I finally decided to go for it. Reason being I'm aware the next year of my life could use some (a)reflection and (b)sharing with friends.

I work and live in a place called Puerto Calero Marina. Its small and quaint and ever so lovely. It has a mini boardwalk with palm trees.

Puerto Calero is in Lanzarote, SPN, an autonomous island in the Canaries which sits happily volcanic, black and jagged. Granted the only vegetation here is the imported palm trees on the mini boardwalk.

The water is a deep royal blue, it stays that color for miles offshore, filled with flying fish (seen hundreds!), whales, and not to mention our Mar Mostro. Closer to the shore there are shipwrecks. I will get certified to dive, I swear.

Lanzarote also has camels (one hump), you can ride them at a fee. I cant decide-

#1 rules:

don't forget your roots

Next week I will visit Madrid.

Much to come and very much love - D.
